Most of the smaller tractors use a unified pump for drive,steering and accessory systems while the larger tractors use 2, drive and steering/accessory or 3 separate pumps, one for each system.

Also, you have no idea what is in there for fluid unless you make sure that the proper one is in it. If "Just" is within 30 days, you should be able to get the dealer to work on it as long as you haven't put a few hundred hours on it in that time. If your doing the work yourself, have you changed the filters and fluid yet? Have you called the dealer you got it off of and told them what's going on to see if they will help you out? Clean the strainer and reassemble, fill with clean oil and give it a try. where the pump suction tube is connected to. Then, I would remove the suction strainer at the lower left of the diff. If there is brass looking particles in the oil, this may indicate pump end plate wear, but don't panic at this point. If the propel performance is changing also, I would start by draining the hydraulic oil into a clean drain pan and then look for suspended metal or brass looking metal in the oil.
I am going to assume your FEL quick connects are connected properly since you said, the FEL works fine when the oil is cooler.įirst, does the tractor propel system seem to change in performance when the oil gets hot also?
